OMG! Equal Means Equal was eye opening! I remember the ERA from the 1970s when I was in high school and college. But I was not aware that, per the Supreme Court, womens rights are NOT PROTECTED under the US constitution! I lost track that the Congress and 36 states (as of 5/2017) had ratified the ERA. At least 2 more states are needed to make the ERA the law of the land. IL can be one of those 2 states! We need to contact our state Senators and Representatives to vote to ratify the ERA.
