Several of our group members had the pleasure of going to Second City this past Thursday evening to see a private performance of “She the People” benefiting Cause the Effect Chicago. A great show and a good cause!
Cause the Effect Chicago provides a platform for women to effect change through activism, civic engagement and political giving.
Formerly Off the Sidelines Chicago, Cause the Effect Chicago began with a call for women to “take their ideas to action,” and over the past two years, women have answered that call.
In 2017, Cause the Effect Chicago launched a political action committee (PAC) to support local women candidates and will begin endorsing candidates in early 2018.
In addition to supporting candidates, Cause the Effect Chicago engages Chicagoland women through issues-based luncheons, informative newsletters, networking events, activist training, candidate forums, and — following our highly successful Young Feminist Conference — expanded programming for high school and college-aged young women through our Young Feminist Ambassador Program.
