Subject: Phone Banking for the ERA
Last night we had a very successful phone-banking session! We’re so thankful that Sue Friedman from North West Suburbs Organizing for Action came to help us set up our computers. Now six of us know how to call Michael McAuliffe’s constituents to urge them to tell him to support ratification.
Each of us can make calls from our home, also; and a group is going to Lou Lang’s office on Wednesday, the 25th, to make calls to other constituents whose Representatives are undecided.
If you’d like to carpool with us on Wednesday, let me know. We’ll be leaving our house about 3:30. Though calls can be made till 8:00, we only can stay till 6:00.

This is crunch time for sure. Lou and Heather are hoping they can call the vote in the next couple of weeks.
A bunch of us are planning to go to Springfield on May 8th for Lobby Day. That will probably be our last chance to talk to McAuliffe. I hope, hope, hope we’ve convinced him to vote “yes”.
