Good Morning, Action Ridge Warriors! Our next Action Ridge meeting will be held on Thursday, April 4th, at 7:00 at the Community Church. This is a change of date from the second Thursday of the month to the first. Please make note.
This meeting is going to be one of the most fascinating and, perhaps, life changing events we’ve held so far. Corrie Wallace, who is a nationally known Anti-oppression educator, will present an interactive workshop aimed at raising our awareness of the effects of white privilege on our culture.
We’ll view posters and videos, then break into small groups to discuss our reactions to what we’ve seen and end by forming a circle to share our thoughts and feelings. I hope we have an excellent turn-out to explore this important topic. After all, our Mission Statement states that we “promote the principles of equity and inclusion”. Let’s act on our principles!!
A cash donation of $15-20 will be suggested; but, of course, the program is free and open to all.
